March - It’s been a long winter for many of us, March - It’s been a long winter for many of us, but good news springs on the way. In an athletic program that means we’d soon be back on the field, and back in the game. Spring camp is here, it’s time to rebuild our foundation, and  realign our focus. That means revisiting our mobility and taking care of any old injuries. Then bringing it back to bodyweight basics, challenging ourselves with difficult movements, pushing our cardio, and aligning our balance.   Before we kick off this month, we recommend writing down one goal for yourself, an intention that you will carry with you through each workout, on those days you don't feel like getting up, and those times when you feel like you can’t do another rep.   Now its time to move. Seeing progress is a great motivator in itself, and also improves your self-esteem.  🎯Continue to set new goals. Think about what you want to achieve next week, next month and next year. Tackle one goal at a time so you don’t feel overwhelmed.  📈Keep the momentum up. It takes up to 3 months to develop a new habit, so keeping the momentum and routine helps it feel more automatic over time.  🤝Find mentors – a mentor is someone who is experienced in the habit you want to change. Finding social or support groups with the same interest can help you find a mentor.  😁Surround yourself with positive people. Positive friends and family enhance your positive self-talk, which also helps to manage the symptoms of depression and anxiety.  💪🏽Use exercise as one of your daily goals to improve your mental health. We spend a lot of time working towards goals and not enough time reflecting on how far we’ve come.  As a society it’s been instilled in us to “chase” after things we want that we often loose sight of how much we’ve accomplished along the way.  I challenge you, for one week, to look back at your days, weeks, months, years of life and be happy with how far you’ve come and what you’ve done!
